How Echoes handles email addresses, order information, and family materials.
Information we collect
When you request the free Legacy Interview Kit, we collect your email address. If you contact Echoes or purchase a biography, we may also collect your name, contact details, shipping information, order information, and the messages you send us.
Email and the free Kit
We use your email address to deliver the Kit and may send occasional Echoes updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Transactional or project emails may still be sent when they are needed to respond to you or complete an order.
Payments
Payments are processed by Squarespace Payments and its payment partners. Echoes does not receive or store your full payment-card number. Payment providers handle that information under their own privacy policies.
Recordings, photographs, and family materials
Project materials are collected after purchase through a customer-specific onboarding handoff. Echoes uses them only to prepare, review, print, and deliver the biography and to support the project.
Echoes does not sell family materials, publish them, use them in public examples, or use them to train artificial-intelligence models without separate written permission.
Service providers
Echoes may share only the information needed with service providers that support the website, email delivery, payment processing, secure file transfer, editorial production, printing, and shipping. Those providers process information under their own terms and policies.
Retention and deletion
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed to deliver the Kit, operate the website, complete a project, meet legal or accounting obligations, and resolve questions. Project-specific retention and deletion details are confirmed during onboarding.
You may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing hello@echoes-legacy.com. We will respond based on the information we hold and any legal or operational requirements that apply.
Security
Echoes uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate for a small service business. No online system or method of storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any campaign. You can also contact Echoes with questions about your information or a family project.
